About Irma Acosta

Irma Acosta, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in Family Medicine in Apopka, Florida. She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 2014 and has dedicated her career to Family Medicine ever since.

Irma is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and their families, believing these connections are essential to providing truly comprehensive care. She values treating the whole person—not just physical symptoms—and finds fulfillment in making a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives. Being a Physician Assistant is more than a career to her—it is her calling. She feels confident that she is exactly where she is meant to be, serving her community and caring for families across generations. She has been part of the IAM Healthy Family Medicine team since 2025.

In her “spare” time, Irma is a proud and devoted mother to three energetic children under the age of 12. She brings that same patient, compassionate, and attentive approach to her practice that she uses at home—meeting patients where they are, listening carefully, and guiding them with empathy and understanding.
